2024 RECAP
The Nevada Public Health Institute (NPHI) hosted the 3rd annual Rural Nevada Public Health Summit on April 2nd and 3rd at the UNR Extension office in Las Vegas. The event brings together rural partners from across the state and over 12 expert speakers to explore rural public health topics, foster collective work in Nevada, and create new partnerships. Last year’s Summit featured session on digital equity, developing healthy food systems, community health worker utilization, and much more!
In partnership with NPHI and the Larson Institute, The West Environmental Justice Center joined this year’s Summit to conduct a listening session with the goal of better understanding gaps and needs in Nevada. Their organization provides hands-on help, training, resources, and support to tackle environmental or energy justice challenges.
