Current Projects

County Health Rankings are released each year by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. Since 2016, the Nevada Public Health Institute has been hosting annual County Health Rankings data release events.  The goals of these events have been (1) to build local community stakeholders’ capacity to understand and address social determinants of health and disparities in health in Nevada; and (2) to connect stakeholders and leaders from urban, rural, and frontier communities across Nevada so that they can learn from each other.  Annual events are held at both a Northern and Southern Nevada location.  Travel stipends and remote access are provided to assist rural partners in participation.
